Croap is soft, creamy soap. I love Italian almond croap.

Cream + Soap +Italian "-a" = Croapa lol.

I am smelling this as I sit here on my computer, I have opened the red tub like 25 times now liking it more and more.

Then I flipped over the tub and read the back - contains Sandalwood Oil... I fell over.

What a great deal, if I didn't have a lifetime supply of shaving creams and soaps at this point I'd snag a few more.

It really did take a lot of smelling to finally remember now in my head the scent.

To describe it, it smells like if you cut your lawn on a hot and humid day, only your grass was the actual color blue. Then your wipper snipper hit the base of your pine tree and it bled sap everywhere.

Then you walked to your shed with pine tar on your hands, and got a spider web in your face, and you tripped and fell into some open bags of potting soil.

Then you downed a bottle of Becks or Bavaria beer.

Befuddled, you fill your pipe with wet, moist, fresh Virginia tobacco and sit on the steps to the back of your house while you puff away in the heat as the sun goes down.

You wipe your nose and get some pine sap and black earth under your nose as you take another puff from your pipe, and think, "I need to go in the house for a hot shower and a shave..."

That is what it smells like. I love it!

BITOG needs to open a Shaving / Health section.

I am a fairly new user here, and have a slight idea and feel for the character of most of the regulars on this site.

I would hate to split my time here and Badger and Blade, as this site has such a nice selection of fine people to chat with already.

And, what is great, is women shave too so it can really be an expansive section.

I see great sponsorship potential from Gilette etc and their ad placements, and these are all products 100% of members here use daily...

It's not fair some of the shops you have in Montreal!

As for the barbershop odour, I bet you're thinking of Pinaud-Clubman fine talc, so your back of the neck reference is spot on. Gilette makes (or at least used to) a foamy in a can shaving cream with that odour.
