Nissan Transmission filter

debating on changing out the transmission filter in my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. After watching some You tube videos, it looks like most other, drain and drop the pan, etc.
This filter has about 9 bolts holding it on and 3 of them have the locking bolt on the valve body side. This has the V-6 VQ40 engine.

has anyone ever changed out one of these? There is a thread on Transmission filters, but nobody has replied

I'm not going to help much but is there really a filter?

I dont recall ever seeing people post about it on my nissan forums that i hang around. I'm thinking its just that metal screen. Last AT filter i saw on a nissan was late 90's.

I'm not sure what's to debate...I would certainly do it if the atf and/or filter has not been changed for a long time. Can't hurt to have fresh atf and filter!
