Nissan 0W-20 Factory Fill, 1.8k mi, 2023 Armada 5.6 DGI

This is a followup to the previous sample at 7,051 miles. The current sample is at 8,423 miles using Valvoline Advanced 0W20 Synthetic. Sample was taken with the Amsoil sample pump. No oil or filter change. I wanted to make sure that contamination didn't come into play since last report had high silicon. There's an improvement across the board which I'm happy about. Also, I'm still thinking of switching over to the Restore and Protect to help mitigate deposits on the intake valves and PCV system (if it would even help). I appreciate your comments!

Poke around online on any of the popular car repair channels and you will find some of these Nissan GDI 5.6's sludged to death. Obviously they could have been neglected, but you will not find this type of failure with the previous port injected Nissan 5.6.

It's the same scenario with the VQ35DE vs the GDI VQ35DD. You will literally find 100's of failed DD reports on various Nissan forums. Nissan of course keeps the situation quiet. I owned a 2019 Pathfinder with the VQ35DD. Being a Nissan fan in general, I've been following this stuff for years.

Where I am going with this is, I would not go more than 5K miles or 1yr between OCIs on an Armada or Titan. I personally would be more in the 4000-4500 mile range. Nissan doesn't offer much in terms of individual parts for these engines and what is available is outrageously expensive.
