Has anyone cut open a Nippon oil filter?

I just bought 10 of them because I was told they're identical to OE Toyota filters. Looking at a cutaway of an OE Toyota they (Toyota's)look pretty impressive.

These filters are made by Nippon (says nothing about denso) in Malaysia.

I'd be willing to send one (free of course) to someone experienced with analyzing oil filter construction who could post the pics on the web.

I just cut one open.

It uses paper in a taco style (like most all other filters). It has a nice anti drain back valve which I think is made of silicon (it's a soft red colored rubber).

The bypass hole in the bottom is metal on metal. When I push this in with my finger it seems pretty stiff (seems like it'd take a lot more than 10psi to open). Should I be worried about this?

Other than that, it seems like a good filter with metal end caps and a nice thick base.
