Nicotine Free E-Cigarettes?

Hey guys, I don't know alot about this subject so bear with me. My dad has been an avid cigarette smoker for years, and is currently using the E-Cigs to help quit. Recently I came across a line of electric smoking pens (called hookah pens) that are nicotine, tobacco, tar, and chemical free. Apperently it is only flavored water vapor, which in my opinion should be perfectly safe. Am I right in thinking this? I only ask because I figured once I got my dad completly off of nicotine products he could use these in place. This is one example I found; Strawberry Hookah Pen

Its good not to have nicotine in it. I would have some concerns about what chemicals are in the flavoring. Lung tissue is delicate. I would just not introduce any chemical directly to my lungs, but thats just me.

I completely agree, but I figured its better for dad then cigarettes.

If it gets nicotine and smoke out of his system, then yes it is far better.

Even the e-cigs are much safer than cigarettes. Although being addictive, nicotine itself isn't killing you, its all of the bad stuff that comes along with it. If you're dad has totally replaced cigarettes with an e-cig thats great. Weaning yourself into a nicotine free e-cig would he even better.

These would seem to be pretty harmless. As mentioned, even nicotine is not really so bad but avoiding it would be better, of course.

Thats how I felt, I just wasn't sure about these new "E Hookah's"

Nicotine has bad health effects, just one of them being the constriction of blood vessels, reducing blood circulation.

I've used the Blu e-cigs, which is one of the most popular brands and available at a lot of retailers including Walgreens. Anyway, they offer their various flavors in low, medium, high and no nicotine. It's kind of difficult to find the no nicotine cartridges at retailers, but I've ordered the no nicotine off Blu's website with no problems.

I think dad's tried Blu a few times, just not the ones without nicotine. I did end up ordering one of these flavored pens for him to try, I'll report back on how it works.

The FDA tried to ban electronic cigarettes earlier this year. It wanted to label electronic cigarettes as “unapproved drug delivery devices.” The FDA banned the importing of electronic cigarettes, alerting customs officials to not accept any shipments of the products. The FDA currently regulates nicotine gums and patches as drugs and certifies their safety and efficacy. The FDA argued that electronic cigarettes should be studied for the same standards of safety and efficacy. You can check more info here.

.....nicotine is NOT a carcinogen....look it up. It's IDLH is high. The blu's are really bad and junk....very limited battery life and they don't hold a lot of "juice." Best bet is to get an ego tank system or a Kanger with an ego battery. Last way longer. Here's the kicker about the nicotine that would help out your father....get a Kanger tank system and two batteries. The biggest and hardest part for a smoker to go from analogs to electronic is finding the flavor. Millions of flavors out there. Once he finds one, start out about 12 mg/nicotine for a couple of days, then reorder your "juice" with lower nicotine...and so forth and so on until you eventually get to 0mg of nicotine.
