I understand your point. I'm pointing out that one shouldn't consider Noack to be biased, just understand the property for what it is. I don't choose by Noack, and generally speaking, one should not. A monograde isn't a great idea here year round.

Yeah, but you know old habits die hard for some old timers like my dad and one uncle

When will you learn???

I see that you're a newbie here. Perhaps, you should try respecting others and learning something?

Respect will come when you have earned it.
When you peddle mumbo-jumbo like you are doing here, then respect has not been earned.

There have been several threads that have highlighted the error in your fabricated index, so I wont go in to trying to change your mindset.
I would request that you provide the stoichiometric analysis that would accompany any similar industry wide measure of quality.

How are you accounting for your units?
Everything should be able to be broken down or reduced to standard SI basic units.
Can you provide this analysis?

This would be the beginning of your homework....
We will analyze your work in a peer review style of feedback in which you justify your choices and conclusions from a scientific perspective.

Are you up to the task?

Looking forward to your response!!!

And turn in your homework...

Gokhan I appreciate the link to the msds for Walmarts products and for bringing to my attention a way to verify suppliers. I'll probably start checking the oil I buy there to see what the supplier consistency is.

Wow, extremely rude and condescending.

Thank you, too, for bringing this up. I didn't previously know about the MSDS site either.

I'd be quietly worrying about my car starting after work for 8 months of the year.

So, the 8 months from April to November your car won't start without 5Wxx because it's too cold, and the 4 months from December to March inclusive you take the bus?

I know you run SAE 40 monograde from December to March and then take the bus from April to November because it's too hot for SAE 40 monograde.
