My daughter did a number on the transmission oil pan on her 2005 Taurus, taking it up a forestry road to go hiking. I picked up a new pan on clearance at Rock auto and changed it out, along with a new Motorcraft transmission filter, 6 quarts of NAPA brand Mercon 5. The magnet was pretty clean and the fluid was still pretty red. The new pan came with a drain plug. The car has 128,000 miles. My buddy Dave is holding the new pan. I re-used the Ford gasket. It was fairly robust.

I've noticed that sometimes the Spectra Premium pans show a drain bolt, but when you go to their website, it shows a picture with a drain bolt, but the text says no drain bolt.

Except for maybe an El Camino or old AMC Eagle, trars need to just stop

That said, I've seen Subarus up Blanca Peak to a point where I'd honestly be nervous to take a stock 4wd truck/SUV. Stupidity and ignorance can get you a long way, until it doesn't. I cringe to think about their torque converters or clutches. To that end, at least a trar will have low range
