New tool thread

The Makita brushed drills are still some of the best drills they ever made.....The XPH03Z is the newer model of of the BDF and has even more power with 750 in.lb, the thing is a beast and definitely a pro level drill not a DIY....You got yourself a heck of a good drill that will take a beating in everyday use and last for years, mine still runs like the day I bought it 18 years ago and I work it.
Thanks for sharing. Good to know that I got a quality tool. I love all my other Makita tools, so I'm glad to add this to my small but growing Makita collection. I doubt I'll ever use it enough to make a dent in its useful life.

I finally stepped up to the Gen 2 stubby M12 in 3/8" (2562-20)

Also my smoke machine (used) never came with an EVAP port adapter so I ordered a cheap one (top)

I am building a starter tool kit for a young man, including 1/2" socket set. So I needed a 1/2" long flex head ratchet for myself. I have been somewhat leary of the HF Icon stuff, but have been proved to be wrong. Thanks to @The Critic for his advice. I had a 15% off text coupon, so why not? Of course I lubed it 1st thing.

Snap-On 1/2” Dr Deep Chrome Metric Sockets (inspired by @clinebarger for use as lug nut sockets on your impact).

Wow it's difficult to find a no-skip set from SnapOn, and starting at 12 seems sorta random (but potentially good for you being a Toyota guy) and including 23 is interesting unless you're doing a lot of Mazda diff plugs.

So are you thinking the chromes in place of specialty thin-wall "lug nut" sockets?

23mm more useful than the 20mm!

HF had all Doyle 30% so picked up the circuit tester and Amp clamp. Didn't have an Amp clamp so decided to take a look at it. Not sure if going to keep it yet. Got a free hat with another purchase.

20% off anything HF got me the 1/4" ratchet. Small head might come in handy along with lower torque for small things. At $48 bucks I figure I can't loose, and already had the batteries.

1/2" Ridgid ratchet was an impulse buy, but HD had it 50% off with battery, so I picked it up. I'm already in the Ridgid line so batteries are easy.

Ran into some 7mm hose clamps recently so picked up Tekton socket driver + nut driver. Dual end Tekton ratching wrench was on clearance for 50% off and the 17mm, 6pt. will hopefully come in handy for the barley accessible CX-5 belt tensioner that has an aluminum hex.
