The Makita brushed drills are still some of the best drills they ever made.....The XPH03Z is the newer model of of the BDF and has even more power with 750 in.lb, the thing is a beast and definitely a pro level drill not a DIY....You got yourself a heck of a good drill that will take a beating in everyday use and last for years, mine still runs like the day I bought it 18 years ago and I work it.

Thanks for sharing. Good to know that I got a quality tool. I love all my other Makita tools, so I'm glad to add this to my small but growing Makita collection. I doubt I'll ever use it enough to make a dent in its useful life.
