You forgot the four most important tools...WD-40, BFH, duct tape, and zip ties.

If it sticks but shouldn't, use WD-40 and a BFH. If it doesn't stick but should, use duct tape and a zip tie.

Smoke machine.

Can't believe I waited so long to get one, what with all these VWs and a correspondingly bazillion vacuum leaks . Diagnosed a leaky intake manifold gasket in about 3 minutes on the Dadwagon. This thing is tiny, about the size of 2 packs of cigarettes. But it puts out smoke like if you lit both packs on fire .

Had to get one of these to loosen the lock ring on my gas tank. Fuel filter is inside the tank and is part of the pump/regulator (dumb design IMHO). Re-installation calls for 110Nm (~82 ft.lbs. ). Filters on others are thankfully outside of the tank with quick connects and regulators built in.

Just bought the Craftsman 1/2 digital torque wrench. Only issue is the case is so dang long it doesn't fit in my tool chest drawers, even diagonally. Oh well, to the wall cabinet it goes.

Santa Claus brought me an M18 inflator with the 2 batteries. I like it but not the screw on Schrader hose. The screw on like that on my Viair is fine as I can keep it running. So far I have had to set the M18 1psi higher and then adjust down with my pressure gauge.

I ordered the clip on open flow adapter from Jaco like my Jaco inflator has and a small 1/4" NPT-M to Schrader fitting.

The bigger torque wrenches are definitely too long for the smaller 26" toolboxes! At least the Craftsman cases have a hang tab on the end so they can hang on a pegboard! At least, my 1/2 craftsman 20-250lb does.

I bought an import knock-off 7503 (left) to replace my broken OTC (right).

I'm going to attempt warranty but OTC makes the process difficult, and the cynic in me can't help but feel this is deliberate. As a result if there are non-OTC options of equivalent quality, I'll lean that way in the future. This import is just a stop gap for now.

About 2 weeks ago I bought the Craftsman 250ft-lb wrench at Lowes, for $24 + $50 gift card.

Compared to my old 200ft-lb Snap-on, the Craftsman is 6" longer, and is 54-tooth vs 32-tooth for the Snap-on. One potential downside to the Craftsman is that there are no ratchet-mechanism rebuild kits available, and the warranty is only 1 year.

The Craftsman performed well in this video, where accuracy is tested out-of-the-box and after 1000 cycles.

I got these things this week off the tool truck. Also got a brake bleeder wrench too that’s 8 and 10mm from Snap-on but forgot to take a picture of it. The jump box was $200 off made it $284. I didn’t ask the price of the socket or the wrench lol. I had a 14mm spark plug socket already but the magnet broke inside of it and Snap-on was there so I just got it and then I’ll get the other one warrantied and use it at home.

Can you hit 200 lb ft easily with that snap on? I found that the Craftsman requires considerable force to get 200+ even with the extra length. At least it did when I was lying under a F-150 and bench-pressing it to tighten the caliper bolts.

I used to work in a place where we had a set of Tank tools that included sockets, a breaker bar, a big, big, headed ratchet, a 3 to 1 torque multiplier, and a torque wrench that read 800 lbs/ft.
