New tool thread

Rebuilding my tool collection. I moved to LA a few months ago and sold off my tools before the move. Excited to try out the M12 1/2" stubby with the 5.0 HO battery. I don't think this should have any problems since the max torque spec is my axle nut at 217 ft/lb.

Always struggling with plugging in vacuums. Saw this Milwaukee on clearance at home Depot for $117. Amazon sells currently for over $200. Decided to buy.

Not a value unless one already has M18 batteries/chargers.

My mom calls that her spider vacuum. She runs the longest rigid extensions and gets spiders. I think they're "meh ok" but prefer the 0880 style with hose.

Considering it's a Milwaukee, that is a great price if one has the battery available.

I find that these battery powered vacuums are good for light to medium duty at most. Suction is mediocre IMO.

I bought the Rigid 3 gallon wet/dry vacuum with a set of detailing hoses altogether for $100 at Home Depot on sale. The suction was very strong. The drawback was it is corded.

Picked up this 15 gallon (US, so about 57 litre) air compressor last week. Looking forward to using it! The little 5-gallon has its place, but was not adequate for some of the stuff I want to do.

Regularly $579.99, on sale for $429.99. I had a $100 gift certificate plus over $100 in accumulated cash-back, so the hit wasn't too bad (around $220 + 12% sales tax, all in C$).

Per the manual, I did the 30-minute run (with the drain valve open). It is quite quiet.

Nothing spectacular but picked up a 21mm 6 point socket to keep in the RAV4 with a breaker bar in case I get a flat tire. I don’t like using the factory supplied tools especially if the lug nuts are very tight. And a tool bag just to put a few basic tools in there too in case the need arises for something.

What are these used for??
Yellow handle pliers are cleco pliers, nice ones made by Zephyr.

Black handle pliers are for installing Camloc fasteners.

Black box is a microstop countersink kit.

White box is an assortment of threaded twist drills.

Baggies have 10ea #40, #30, #21, and #10 clecos, and 5ea side grip clecos.

All new, all USA made, all for under $300.

We use Clecos on mechanical assemblies at work where hole alignment through multiple structural members is critical. Our supplier will deliver the assembly to us with the Clecos in it, and as we do the final assembly work, the Clecos come out and get bagged up and shipped back to the supplier for re-use.

$185 OTD at local pawn:

OTC 4532 puller kit which appears never used. Matco also sells this as an MST4532A.

Also I stumbled upon the Thexton 334 spark plug wire pullers (red handles up top). Curious, I found a very short vid on them. It's amusing because it's like instructions for deodorant: "apply to underarms"
