My SK nostalgia purchase turned out well. I know it is not what others may think about SK. Made in USA, smooth ratchet with low back drag. It was 50% off so $120 plus tax, free shipping. 3/8 drive metric. Not cheap.

The metal box is really cool, and I love the SK round head ratchets! I have an old 3/8 drive that was my go-to for many years because it is smooth and just feels right.

I'll have to dig it out of my box and try it again just for nostalgia! These days I usually reach for the Pittsburgh swivel head.

I'm tellin' ya, for another ~$90 the Icon BJP1 copy is sa-weet with way more capability
I was looking at that the other day when I bought the Icon wrenches, it sure appears to be good quality, I think one will be coming home they next time I go. I have a large frame Made in USA OTC that has proven to be strong as a brick out house but fitting the cups is a bit janky requiring 3 hands.

Recently working on a Mazda with a 23mm hex head fill plug I decided I "needed" 23mm sockets in 3/8" dr

I found Carlyles for about $3 ea at NAPA's site. I think this is clearance pricing (not surprising really) because the pricing ended in zeros, eg $3.00. I got shallows in 6pt and 12pt and the deep in 6pt

More random pawn scores. I threw this on the counter.....the guy looked at it and said $7 :D. I felt bad making him break a $20.....

-OTC 6470 cam synchronizer, allegedly for 3.8 and 5.0. I've used this style exactly once on a 3.0 in an '03 Ranger. Presently ~$42 on Amazon
-OTC 7491C GM UCA tool. Can't say I've ever had the need. Presently $72 on Amazon
-OTC 6763 adapters for Ford 6.0. Are any still on the road??? I've never touched one, not even an oil change. Presently $40 on Amazon
-Matco TFI module wrench because, well...because. I do service an '87 302....
-Matco weird V-shaped aluminum fuel line discos. Never used such a design myself??
-Robinair 41067 a/c clutch puller. Presently $78 on Amazon ‐‐ and reviews complain of poor thread quality
-Matco GM fuel line discos. Red plastic and I rarely trust plastic discos but the price was right ;)

we should rename part of this thread.. "PAWN STORE ADVENTURES WITH D60"
I know I like watching the show..

A friend recently removed the back from an old office chair and proudly posted it elsewhere as a repurposed rolling shop stool. He seemed a little hurt because several people poo-poo'd it saying it was going to dump him off, too tippy etc etc.

Personally I had no strong opinions on the matter, but today he unexpectedly gave me some Christmas gifts, so I wanted to get him something.

I got this Matco shop stool at pawn for $80. Presently $265 on Matco's site, but I have strong suspicions it's a Sunex for ~$120 retail. Either way, it's REALLY comfortable -- I almost don't want to give it up!

I have this one that I got as a gift but have never used it. What are some uses for it?
For the time being it will be for cutting nails and screws while replacing doors and windows. Ultimately I'll be replacing all the windows on the upstairs of my house. It can be used to remove caulking, cutting nails, notching wood, etc.

Well I mostly have @SubLGT to blame. The wife got me the KTC ATBX12 drum service kit for Christmas. I pretty much already have tools that will do anything these will, although I like the smaller, funky spoons.

I found it amusing it also comes with M8 jackscrews but I feel they should be cup point (the belt sander or lathe can fix that)

The pink-ish handles are nice and grippy. Yeah, they'll hold grease but they feel great in-hand

Unfortunately all the literature is in Japanese so I guess I'll never know what to do with all these tools. Bummer.

Removing grout. Nothing better

Flush cutting

Careful parts of reconstruction destruction
They'll slip in and cut nails for receptacle boxes.

I primarily use mine for plunge cutting blow-mold tool cases to modify them.

Also great for trimming bumper valances for things like winch bumper installs (like SSO on 2nd Gen Tundras):
