New tool thread

Impact nut drivers. Made in Taiwan surprisingly. I think they also make a metric set.

Where did you get the tire from I need one for the barrow?
Ebay. This is the auction
https://www.ebay.com/itm/165547620001

It arrived in less than a week so appears to be US stock (some sellers claim this but still dispatch internationally, taking longer)

It appears to just be bushings, not bearings. No zerk, but I considered fitting one.

Mine came with a steel reducer sleeve from 3/4" to 5/8".

In this case it went on a small wheelbarrow so it'll be great. For heavy use, spend more for bearings and greaseable

Makita Multi-Tool. I need to remove a lot of hard caulk around the kitchen sink before I replace the faucet. A YT dude says this is the way to go. I went with the smaller 12v instead of the larger 18v; I was concerned about weight. I didn't realize how tiny the battery packs are.

You picked the right tool for the job. Just use a cheapie blade for such work, even grout. I have the DeWalt 20V and I used that baby a LOT!@!
Yep. Amazon has a great selection of cheap blades. $.50 a piece or so you really don’t care. Lol

I mean cement grout, most metal, even wallboard is hard on any blade - with a multi-tool let the tool do the work. I do have some nice expensive blades for in place trim work and such. Heck I used a good blade cut a perfect (drawn) line in oak flooring to match baffroom tile without some kind of bump up trim piece. I was going to do a plunge cut with a small circ saw, but I surely would have botched that and still a circ saw can't make the full length anyway. Nice and slow along the line.

You guys mentioned blades. The tool only came with one toothed blade. So I went shopping for a few scraper blades. It wouldn't be a Makita if it didn't have a proprietary "Starlock" blade mounting system. All the cheap bulk blades don't work with this tool. 😑

Powered cardboard cutter where have you been the last 20 years???...........yes I breakdown a lot............of boxes!
Yup, the past few years has been a ritual with the wife and kids every few months hand tearing boxes, but now it should be ALOT FASTER :ROFLMAO:

I have been looking at the Dewalt, after seeing it blow the Milwaukee into the next ice age it is a good buy.

Had watched torque test videos and saw the same. I like how the Dewalt grip position feels versus a normal angle grinder and hoping it will be a bit safer for cutting. I think Its too small for a flap disc or grinding but they sell them..
