New tool thread

Got the Makita 18v ratchet, has both a 1/4" and 3/8" head. They also have a 12v version, but the tool is the same size aside from where the battery attaches, so I went with the 18v model. Makita's current promotion gave you this for "free" with the purchase of the 2x 4.0 amp-hr battery & charger (& bag) kit, so that worked out nicely. Used a similar promotion when I got the 1/2" impact wrench, so have plenty of batteries now.

Garage sale find for $1. A barely used flush cut saw, Made in Japan. It's thin and razor-sharp. I tried it on a femur*. Cut through it like the bone was made of styrofoam.

*turkey leg femur** (Disclaimer/clarification/context strongly urged by my legal councilor)
**the bird*** was dead and had already been roasted at the time
*** it was not a poached turkey, I can provide proof of purchase upon request

Snap-on Tuesday today people. Picked up a flex head long ratchet 3/8 with a purple handle. Got some trim tools that are slightly different from the ones I have. You always find uses for those. And some hose pliers too. I always end up skinning my knuckles or busting my hand open trying to get off hoses. He knocked off $10 for me off of that and the ratchet both. The trim tools were leftover from the Christmas sale last set he had so I got them for a good price as well. Then he threw in hoodies for me and my coworker Batman. I am happy of course. And made a payment. My balance is still less than what I owed before.

Funny story I walked in the door at home and was carrying my hoodie and my mom is like I don’t even need to ask because I know you bought something again and made a payment and I’m like yep oh yeah you know I did. She said ok I’m not judging just remember don’t buy stuff you don’t need and don’t get yourself in the hole too far either. Didn’t even ask what I bought or owe lol. Guess cause pops wasn’t home she is giving me a break lol.

D60, I've never done a Ford 3.5. Just the old style cam in the block.
We didn't need special tools for the old inline 4, 5, and 6 cylinder SOC engines.
I could do those by myself. Lets see if Automechanic will stop by and lend his strong young arms to turn the crank for me. ;)

That $10 you got off would be a nice forum donation eh????

I wouldn't worry about donating.
Where you are going it doesn't make sense to now😳
Well the ones I’m ordering won’t be any tool truck brand lol. Might wait till next paycheck I don’t know yet. You know I’ll never stop buying tools Jim. I’ve got money to do so right now. Now if only more people knew I owed more than a few hundred on the truck right now I may not be buying anything else…lol. Yeah I know I have a buying habit. I used to be that guy that didn’t want to spend a penny now that’s changed.

Tekton Swivel Head Ratcheting Wrench 17mm - 19mm. Mac Tools Organizer 2000 tool chest, used, $300.

I’m cleaning the chest, removing decals, lubricating the slides. While it doesn’t have ball bearing slides it will serve me well.

SnapOn SHN36. 1/2 drive, 36" length. TTBOMK the longest 1/2" drive breaker bar you can get.

It was in very good condition and $120 at local pawn. You used to be able to get these as Bahcos thru amazon.fr for a bit less than the truck, but the great panic of '20 seemed to bring an end to that. Plus I'm not sure how you'd warranty a gray market Bahco here if you needed to

Nothing like a BFBB to give it some TLC.
