Those are solid tools. From the Made in the USA days of Craftsman.

Rebuild kits are available, should the gear teeth ever get too worn, but just removing the cover (snap ring pliers), then cleaning and oiling, makes a huge difference in smoothness of operation.

That ratchet, and its 1/4" and 3/8" counterparts, were included in the Craftsman "starter set" that I bought 20 years ago.

I've since moved on to other ratchets as my primaries, thanks to this site, but they always served me well. Still use the sockets.

I can't wait to see what Automechanic gets for his B'day tomorrow... I am loading up the guns as we speak...
Sounds like a trip to HF because they put out an ad for a free bucket with purchase of $29.99 or more. I’m sold I want a bucket 🪣 LOL. I missed them last time. That means I just need to buy the Icon pliers wrench that I want. Wait it’s my birthday I ain’t buying it someone else has too LOL. Hopefully I get a Yeti cup too which I consider a tool as it will contain the caffeine I need to stay awake.

My friend and mechanic told me he bought the ratchet starter set and sockets with his savings and Christmas money when he was a teenager. 41+ years later he’s wrenching on them daily.

Amazing.

I wish someone would come out with a finer tooth cartridge for these, like a 70-100 minimum. I prefer the feel of these ratchets over any I’ve used but I wish the tooth count was higher. The ratchets just feel “cheap” in my opinion.

I broke down and ordered my first Posi-lock puller after I borrowed this one from work. No pics of the new one yet. Been rebuilding the pickup attachment on my round baler and had a few bearings and a sprocket that were fighting. 60 seconds with the right tools and everything was apart.

Snap-on 307IMMS semi deep 1/2" drive impact sockets.....17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27.
Snap-on 205ESSPKPLG3 extra deep spark plug sockets.....14mm 12 point, 14mm 6 point, 9/16", 5/8", & 13/16".

My dealer has had these set's for over a year, Gave me a heck of a cash deal....$85 for the impact sockets & $250 for the spark plug sockets.

Had to find homes for these in ever decreasing space......
Welded a scrap piece of steel to my work bench so the Semi Deeps are right next to my Deep Metrics.
Stacked my Packard/Delphi terminal crimping tools on top of one another to make room for the spark plug sockets.

My in laws bought this for the wife and I for Christmas. Filled it with my “top off” blend of many left overs as well as some E0 and she fired right up. Couldn’t be happier. It also has a soap injector. I realize it’s not the best, but it sure is handy because of its size.

Per the manual, the pump is not serviceable. 😱

You can't go wrong with a Simpson power washer.

Some new birthday tools from yesterday from my parents. From Harbor Freight and Auto Zone. I picked them all out. They said I could get whatever I wanted and that they didn’t want to get me any tools because they don’t know what I have and what I don’t lol 😂 I said sometimes I don’t either haha. They were out of the pliers wrench again unfortunately. I’m still laughing so hard over the name of the magnetic bowl from Auto Zone. I got the pliers because I’ve had really good luck with their pliers and as far as I’m aware not many make the Channellock type that small. And the small adjustable wrench can be a lifesaver too. The old socket was cool to find as well and since I’m trying to collect every size up to two inches I fugues it was a good start that and the 1 1/2 are my biggest so far. Harbor Freight and Auto Zone are in the same strip mall so you know I had to go to both plus we had to get parts at Auto Zone anyway. I wasn’t leaving without tools. Also went to the pawn shop yesterday too and got a bunch of tools.

The 9mil gloves were on sale again. Just so everyone knows the 5 mil are absolutely terrible now too they used to be really good but I went through 5 sets replacing pads and rotors yesterday and two sets last time I changed oil too. They are also a different color now too so I don’t recommend the 5 mil anymore the 7 and 9 are still great though.
