New Craftsman tools. The first one I was introduced too by my coworker. I always thought it was one of those gimmicks that they had but I was wrong it saves your fingers from hot oil when doing an oil change. He let me use it and said he guaranteed by next week I’d have one and boy was he correct. I don’t do many oil changes anymore but man when I do this will be handy.

Second and third picture is a 19mm impact socket. Someone switched the tag on it though and it was just laying on the shelf but it’s the only one they had. I have a 19mm impact it’s just it’s getting worn out and starting to fade and round off stuff so I went ahead and purchased another one.

I also picked up a 4.5mm and 5.5mm socket. I know I’ll definitely need the 5.5 I’ve been using that almost everyday as we work on a ton of Fords I don’t know how much I’ll use it once I move to a specific brand but it’s serving me well now. Not sure I’ll ever need the 4.5 deep socket but I got it to fill in the gap and it’s good to have anyways. Unfortunately didn’t pay attention and grabbed an old stock made in China one but oh well for something that small I’m not worried and if it does break all it takes is an email to Craftsman for a replacement.

Lastly, radiator and hose picks. Very handy. I was originally going to buy some from Snap-on but I decided to give these a try instead. It was the last pack they had on the shelf and I always see them sold out so they must be pretty decent.

I’ll probably be laughed at by my coworkers but honestly I don’t care. They buy what works for them, I buy what works for me. They laugh when I buy Snap-on too they think everything should come from Harbor Freight. Craftsman has been good to me about warranty and they are building a factory here in my hometown so I figured I will be good back to them by buying their stuff.
The craftsman hose hooks genuinely suck. My Dad has a set of them and the angles are wrong. The snapon ones are worth the money.

Stud installer tool. Everyday the luber goobers mess up studs especially driving them all the way down with impacts so they usually call me or a coworker over to that shop to fix them. They especially break or strip on Subaru for some reason. I keep having to borrow the tool so I went to Advance Auto and picked this one up and I used my dads $5 speed perk to get $5 off. Then the air tool oil I got because the Harbor Freight bottle is too big for my toolbox so it lays down and leaks so I got this one instead and will bring the other one home.

Went ahead and bought another ratchet. It’s shorter than my Matco 3/8 locking flex head and longer than a standard ratchet so I figured it would come in handy plus I absolutely love the color. I haven’t shown any of my coworkers don’t want them go get any ideas. I paid off majority of my other debt to get this. Not all of it but I plan to do that in the next few weeks. My wheel hanger was supposed to be in today but UPS lost one of his packages so it didn’t make it. He knocked 10% off this for me. I’ve had my eye on it for the whole time I’ve been here lol. The color reminds me of something like an old Bel Air or something. I think they call it teal. Honestly I don’t even want to use it because the handle will get dirty lol 😂.

Got to use the odd plumbing tubes I picked up at the second hand store, the slot cut is not all the way to the end, that's just the first attempt at a tube wringer, there is also a hole to put a T handle in but I found the T splitter fit, it worked great.

I bought the set of heavy mass sockets for the cost effectiveness, was only going to buy 2 at first. I tested the 17mm on a drive belt tensioner, had about 65 lbs in the compressor, wouldn't come off with the regular impact socket, but the mass socket did it. That's also the Husky Serpentine tool set that was recently suggested in a thread.

Though it’s used it’s new to me. Bought this big boy used today at the pawn shop for $50. Got some other tools there too about 40 sockets and some wrenches and screwdrivers for $15 so $65 total I couldn’t feel better about the price that was a steal for this. This is a $310 ratchet from Matco.

Got this 9/16 spark plug socket. Don’t need a real expensive one since I’m a Subaru tech now but we do get trade ins occasionally and I needed this for a Ford the other day and had to borrow one from our Ford technicians so I got my own now if I need it again. Now the only spark plug socket I need is a 14mm. I had to go to the main Advance Auto store to get this because the other ones keep all the individual stuff behind the counter and won’t let you look at it before they ring it up. It’s rebranded Gearwrench so I’m sure it’s pretty good. Plus I’ve had good luck with this brand in the past anyway.

I ordered this yesterday on Amazon, I wanted a compact long handle 3/8" ratchet. For under $20, why not.......... My only regret is it's quick release.

Snap-on Wheel Hanger for Chrysler, Jeep and a few Dodge models. Got this because we get a lot of Jeep Cherokees traded in that I have to do things too and where they have the stud lugs as I call them it is easy to drop the wheels on your foot this prevents that.

Warranty replacement Craftsman tools. The chrome is peeling on both sockets so I asked if they would send new ones since I’ve almost been cut by them. They said yes that is a defect in workmanship so absolutely they would send new ones. The pliers are a little beat up on the ends and appears to have smashed in a little bit so I asked for those to be replaced as well which they honored. I also inquired about my ratchet that they never sent. The nice lady replied back and told me they are actually discontinuing the raised panel ratchets so they are warranting them with the low profile 72 tooth or the Gunmetal your choice. I chose the Gunmetal and it should be here in a few days. I am actually happy to receive a better ratchet the China raised panels or raised panels period were never really good.

The wheel hanger stud is a good idea...sometimes I make one, then forget I made it. Fiat and Lada had a pin to hang their steel wheels on, all other Euro cars don't. Tis annoying, and one day I'll make some and label them !

New tools. Picked up the sockets since I need them to complete my set. Still looking for a few but got these for right now. Duralast actually has some nice tools they were even better when made in Taiwan. And the Crimson torx bit I bought just because I wanted too I need it as a filler for my set too. And I found the 12 inch extension pretty cool because most of the time you don’t see 12 inch in 3/8 it’s usually 10 inch or like 15 or 18. Haven’t figured out who makes the Crimson stuff looks like it could be Gearwrench or Apex or someone.
