GW ratcheting obstruction wrenches

I'm not a fan of GW but there are minimal offerings in this department. There are some cheapies on Amazon with terrible reviews, so I decided to stick w GW even though I think they're expensive for what they areView attachment 222457

Same set. They work OK. Clearly, I need a bigger drawer for my ratchet wrenches.

I know these look a bit crazy, but I got an 18” 3/8” ratchet and a 24” 1/2” ratchet, along with an 18” breaker bar.

There are just a couple of times, when I need a lot of reach, and I can’t get a regular ratchet on something. E.g. a serpentine belt.

These should have enough reach.

I have several 1/2" ratchets in 24" and at least one 3/8" that's 18". I find them very useful

They do come in handy, especially with things like serpentine belts. I have an 18" Snap On ratchet in 3/8" that has come in very useful doing water pumps and serpentine belt replacement jobs. I found on my van it is more useful than my serpentine belt tool. It also is useful working on the van when I change spark plugs and have to stretch a bit to get to the second spark plug laying on the floor accessing it through the dog house where the 300 I6 resides.

Would you consider shovels as a tool? I do. If you do too here are my new shovel additions this month. Never owned a transfer/square point shovel as dad always said they were a waste of money. Personally I disagree with him so to prove a point I went out and got one for me and mom for when we have gravel delivered for a upcoming project and dad asked when I got home where his was I said have fun scooping with your digging shovel since he laughed at me for wanting one so I didn’t get him one lol. Then a new digging shovel for me because my destructive brother in law breaks every shovel we have had except my dad’s 30 year old one which I won’t let him touch. Yes I wanted to get better quality ones like True Temper, Ames, Razor Back or Bully but no local retailers around here anymore as all the True Value stores were replaced with Ace so I couldn’t hold it or know how heavy it was so decided to go to Home Depot and Lowe’s. I like wooden handles which are so hard to find anymore. The Craftsman shovel says 15 year warranty so we will see if that holds water once my brother in law gets his hands on it lol. My dads other shovel split when I was a kid but I still have the shovel head for it so I’m thinking about sticking a new handle on it. It’s an old True Temper. I will be buying linseed oil for the handles and taking care of these and not leaving them in the weather like the other ones.

Absolutely, I always use both, it’s no different than the right tool for the job situation. The curved is faster, but the flat one is for cleanup work. When I haul yards with my trailer and the square shovel is only way to cleanup efficiently.

I agree. I used them today to scoop soil out of the bag. So much bigger and better scoops than using a traditional shovel. I’ll definitely be picking up a couple more at my local hardware store when they do their annual sale two times a year for July 4th and New Year’s. I also want one with a bit shorter handle because I want one of every style since it’s a tool I’m always prepared with tools lol.

Looking at their site, it appears maybe you can if you buy the whole enchilada kits with the pressure bleeder and separate dual-reservoir adapters (like the C200 for GMT400s which I ordered separately). I don't see the C85 8-pc offered on their site, though.

That said, their site feels like 2005 and it could just be an oversight. I bet if you contacted them and asked for the C85, they could likely provide it. It appears they still offer the (oddball) Chrysler cap I did not get in the C75 kit.

I've honestly never encountered a dual reservoir Chrysler reservoir (yet).
Before I ordered mine, I did call them to ask a couple of questions. I think I talked to the owner or one of the owners and he answered all of my questions and was very nice.

From what I can tell it's primarily Colin Elliott. He responded to all my emails and his name is on the return shipping address.

He was indeed helpful and responsive and I have no complaints. Again, no idea if he thought I was lying about my case of adapters being empty, but he made it right. To be clear, he never directly accused me of lying and it's nearly impossible to detect such things over email unless the accusation is overt (it was not, if it was there at all).

Mistakes happen and Speedi-Bleed addressed it promptly.

I guess it would be an oddball or retrofit like the one on this 64 Belvedere Hemi. I think we have a better chance of seeing the second coming than one of these. The only ones I remember were 2 chambers with a large single cap that used a bail.

It's interesting to hear that the Mopar dual-cap reservoir is so rare out in the field. Those are extremely common in drag racing when retrofitting 4-wheel disc brakes on old cars of all makes.
