New tool thread

Found someone selling this 10-19mm (18 is the only skip) for very reasonable price. The current 12pt 9pc SO set is $580 (these are 6pt). I paid waaay less than half that. All move smooth but are not floppy, most look barely used. I assume they’re old manufacture.

At least the one of the sockets is dated 1983.

Another anomaly with Snap-on sockets, They started stamping upside down with the change in the Snap-on script & the part number font. This was a rolling change that took the better part of a decade.....@ '85-'95.

Had a couple surprise packages waiting on me today. I really appreciate these things. I’m especially pumped about the pinless impact swivels. Something that I’ve been wanting for a long while. I love them. Those are from our member @spasm3. I truly thank you for these tools. They will help me out greatly with the things I work on. It’s nice to have a complete set of them too. Before I had just borrowed them or gotten by with a universal joint and regular socket. I know many places where these will be useful. Thank you again.

Then the ratchets are from our member @demarpaint. I love them. I didn’t know EZRed made regular tools. I’ve been needing another long 1/4 and I love flex heads. The other ratchets will look good in my collection too. I’m always grabbing different ratchets to use just depends on the day haha. So thank you too Frank. Looks like my birthday is off to a great start so far. I will be 21 on Sunday. I share a birthday with my niece Annabelle who will be 11. We do presents and cake and activities separately cause we don’t like any of the same things LOL.

So thank you both for your gifts to me. Really thoughtful of you guys. I’m going to have a big smile on my face walking in to work tomorrow with my treasures. I can’t thank you enough for the tools.

Hearing more and more good things about koken.
I really like mine - very thinwall and just enough extra clearance to allow for final torquing of the wheels without hitting the fender.

Unfortunately the 3-pc set did not include 22mm and I had to pay almost full price for that one.

Score for the day. $25

A person in Killingworth CT is getting rid of his tool collection. I’ve never seen such an enormous collection of tools. Some from his father. Many NOS. Vices, presses, cabinets, lifts, orbitals, hand tools, air tools, sand blasters, etc.

He said his wife presented him with an ultimatum…So the tools have to go.

I’m going back tomorrow.
