I'm looking at A new set of tires, 31x10.5 r15, for my Jeep Wrangler. What I'm looking for is something that can be driven to the state forest, Used there, And then Driven home on As well as driving throughout the week. They have to deal well with ice and snow, and not so much mud
I've narrowed it down to three tires. A Goodyear DuraTrac,A falken wild peak, And a BFG ta ko

Does anyone have any experience with the Tires listed?
Are there any models of tires that I've overlooked or missed to fill my application?
The goodyears and the Falkens Have had really positive reviews in a lot of off road magazines. The BFG takos Have been popular with the Jeep crowd for a long time.

^ Agreed. I don't have any experience with them, but have spoken with some that do.

But going outside your "3", I like Michelin LTX A/T2

Check out Treadwright if you can handle the thought of using a retread. It is really a remold if you watch their videos it will make sense. I friend of mine is on his 3rd set and got over 100,000 miles on the first 2 sets of Wardens. I went more agressive with the Guard Dogs on my Montero and am please but only have about 15,000 miles of very mixed driving. Drove it this summer 800 miles in 90+ degree heat and they held up fine.

As mentioned above, I have treadwright guarddogs on my jeep 5000 miles so far balanced easy great on and off road I drive about 65mph to work and non no issues. Fo4 400 shippee couldnmt beat it

I've used several sets of BFG for both my CJ-7 and K-5 Blazer but have not used the newest design BFG's. Good tire for the use you described. We have red clay down here that can clog up most AT tires. I am sure you have your own local goo up there.

Cooper Discoverer A/T3

Cooper makes good tires but their truck tires are even better than their car tires.

They also frequently have huge rebates.

They come with a full 16.5/32 tread depth.

I'd call it a moderate all terain design. Not so good in heavy mud but what is?

Enough siping that winter traction isn't dreadful.

In real life the tires look more aggressive than the pictures.

I have a little over 70k on my duratracs. Probably wont be getting them again mainly because they are LOUD. My mental health can't take it anymore.

Aside from that, they are a great tire and have gotten me just about anywhere in any weather.

I'd also highly recommend the toyo open country AT2

but they are sometimes hard to find and usually the cooper a/t3 have such a good deal with double or triple rebates its not worth it.

I would say the cooper a/t3 is abit better.. but if shopping at your local shop and the toyos are available and substantially cheaper. Its a very good option.

Right now with online prices looks like the cooper would be at least 100$ cheaper per set.. at black friday the Cooper AT/3 was at least 200$ cheaper.

If you like the BFG KO2, you might want to take a look at the General Grabber AT2. It's almost an identical tread pattern and according to TireRack should save you around $150.

I have lots of experience with off-road driving a Jeep with BFG All Terrains. Today I'll put 250 miles on it. They're quiet and handle pretty well. Not good in slimy mud, but traction off-road is great. Never had any punctures before but with other tires I have. Great tires.

One thing I don't like about Falkens, is once they wear even just a little bit, there's no siping. They're completely smooth with large tread blocks.

No they don't. I went out to the garage and checked...that's exactly what they look like.

The toyo open country at2 I think are the best all terrain tires. Used to have them on a crew cab long bed pickup and it did great in mud even deep stuff. Just as good in the snow

Other similar options also available from nitto and hancook

The the issue I have with the bfg ko2 tires is pretty poor ice traction. Great in snow though

I have 31-10.5-15 Toyo AT's on my Jeep and Toyo AT II's on my pickup.

Good tires, but I don't do mud or much snow.

Hankook ATM RF10 should be on the list. I'm currently running Cooper ST Maxx. Cooper calls them an all-terrain but they're probably more aggressive than you're looking for.

go Troll-lollol someone else.

In real life standing next to the tire the voids are much bigger than it appears on the photo.

Try these.

Another vote for the BFGs; I have them on my 1999 Wrangler and I have been extremely impressed. In March a storm dumped over a foot of snow on north central Kentucky; I drove the Jeep down my farm road in 2WD:
