The follow-up to my good experience at Discount Tire thread. So Dad got some new shoes. Slapped them on and went out for a ride. Not broken in yet, but can feel they stick like chewed bubble gum on hot asphalt. First few miles I could tell much quicker transient response and braking traction. Just a tad harsher than the 235/40-18s they replaced. Think this will be fun.

OK, but, what tires? :)
Guess you had to follow the whole adventure.

First, posted in the Continental Tire rebate program thread. These are the 235/35-19 Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02s that I ordered as part of the program. Then, I started the thread about having them mounted and balanced at Discount Tire, at which, I had a very good experience with. Wrapped it all up with this thread. Thanks for playing along 😁.

Aaahh, OK. Did not follow that.
Yeah, let me know how that goes. I am running DWS06+ now, and while a very good tire, I'm a bit irritated with the soft sidewalls. And running those bcs. with changing weather here, AS tires are really the best bet in May, June, or September, and in October. But I miss those max performance summer tires. That "glue" feeling. So thinking that tire or Michelin PS4S next year.
