Max1 Advanced 0W30 by Irving has a 40C viscosity of 57.5, 2.97 HTHS and a CCS of 5517 at -35....looks very much like the Mobil 1 0W30....albeit harder to obtain.

[And as noted in another thread that thick XD 0W30 does look 'extra' outstanding, in comparison to these newly arriving GF-5 oils, when considering its cold weather properties eg 14900cP MRV (@-40C)]

Rouge21, thanks for reminding me.
I completely forgot about ESSO 3-XD, which puts Mobil 1 0w30 to shame. So Canada still has the lightest super cold 30wts!

Irving makes the house brand oils for Carquest(Canada) so maybe Irving's Max1 Advanced 0w30 can be sourced through Carquest? And a CCS @-35C of 5,517cP is even lighter than 3-XD's 5,800cP, so maybe it is the lightest 30wt available; it's other viscosity spec's are very low indeed.

The PDS for all their PCMO synthetics have been very recently updated showing the latest official specs. i.e. GF-5 and dexos 1.


I see now these very recently updated PDS have been removed from the Petro Canada site (similarly for the new PC conventional GF-5 PCMOs).
