After 20 years with the old blade we upgraded our company plow to a Snowex.
We need a light upgrade, but the hydraulics and wings are pretty sweet.

The wings get rid of that "2 piles left over" from one pile being pushed problem the old one had as well as having superior break way characteristics when the new guy puts it into cement.

Disconnection and connection is a one guy affair.

Once mounted the snow failed to arrive.

Out with the old, in with the new.

The old one served us well, but its time had come and gone.

I would have killed for this rig as a younger guy working parking lots for money.

I plowed snow for years as a kid using Jeep CJ7's
A primary buddy had a brother that had a paint and woodworking business ("Pete the Painter") and we painted for him during the summers and plowed for him in the winter making great money.

Understood, I know that comments sounds like capitalism at it's finest as if you didn't get any good life out of the previous scraper. But more along the lines of how tech has evolved to make things just plain easier to use & more appealing to "Upgrade". Especially as we get older we can afford to pay for more conveniences b/c well you know when we're younger we think we're invincible. 😄 This one ought to last you for a while too.

Note that the plow's working side is rounded, as you'd expect.
Look at the shots of the backside of the blade and you see boxed construction.

Also, a Q: Are the black lower reaches of the blade and wings a hard 'rubber' or just painted black?

Those are replaceable steel cutting edges.

It's a privilege to have and be able to buy new slick gear.
From our grandpas to our dads, and brothers. The midwestern work ethic is part of who we are.
We got up and went to work, so that everyone could go to work. Lots of all day and all night work during storms.
Blue collar and white collar work existed in a yin and yang relationship where and when I grew up.

Folks such as yourself make the world go around. :)
And prevent a bunch of accidents. (y)

I suspect most on here are the same.
All hard work deserves respect regardless of the color of the collar.
What er thou art, do well thy part.
