I ran a Scangage 3 on Both my 2021 and 2024 L8T 3500HD trucks. Even when towing my 12k+ fifth wheel my oil temps never went over 230 and typically ran mid 210's to mid 220's I ran either Mobil 1 5W30 or GM dexos 1 Gen 2 oil in them, never added a drop between changes.

Nothing, except for that extra $$$ payment to GM for their dexos money making scheme.by curiosity , whats missing in this oil to meet dexos 1gen 3 .. i dont feel like gambling since this engine had in the early years of production an history of oil consumption and if this is happenning i really do not want to fight with them ... yes I know im a wuss
D1G3 oil until warranty is over. Then bump it up to xw40
