Here's another universal super long-life antifreeze that claims to last up to 15 years / 350,000 miles.

Thoughts?
I just don't see myself being an early adopter on this. I really don't need a 350,000 mile coolant, LOL.
I'll stick with Peak 10/150 "Long Life" (the predecessor to 10x).. which is starting to be hard to find.
SDS lists only Ethylene Glycol and water. Does that mean it does not have 2-EHA - because they have to list if it does? The 10x is better, since the older long life has 2-EHA in it, and 10x doesn't![]()
When 10X first intro'd some years ago now, emailed Peak/Old World to confirm all info and where it would be sold. It's a LL OAT AF with no 2eha as spec sheet says.* 'Imo', it's basically a much more readily available, longer service interval, lower priced version of a bitog fav, Peak Global Lifetime. As for SDS, ones I've seen show 2eha if it's used as inhibitor, e.g. Peak LL. In 10X case spec sheet confirms no 2eha used.SDS lists only Ethylene Glycol and water. The container says "15 years/350K guaranteed protection" but the PDS says "10 years /300K protection with a complete drain and fill". I'd stick to their regular PEAK 10X formula.

As for topic, looks like one these "Eco-friendly" AFs like Low Tox and Sierra. The distinction "Peak says" is the propylene glycol used is bio-based vs petroleum based for others. That it's only available as a premix, not a strong selling point when compared to others like Sierra that offer full strength.
I believe that PEAK/Old World Industries has revamped their antifreeze product line where the old PEAK 10X (2-EHA free) coolant is no discontinued. Speculation is that the new EcoShield coolant is repackaged 10X coolant since it is free of 2-EHA. The "Eco" label appears to be marketing claiming the active ingredient (1,3 propanediol) is obtained from 100% renewable resources. The new "10+" (not "10X") packaged coolant is a re-label of the older all makes, all models PEAK coolant which does contain 2-EHA. Here is the previous BITOG thread posted by @nthach concerning the new PEAK lineup.Does the Peak 10x universal really meet specs of Asian vehicles such as Mazda?
Exactly, that's how it looks to me too. The older LL yellow label has "always" used 2eha, so nothing new there.....The new "10+" (not "10X") packaged coolant is a re-label of the older all makes, all models PEAK coolant which does contain 2-EHA.....
I did email OWI - they did confirm EcoShield has a small amount of phosphate in it. Not as much as a Japanese pHOAT but it counts still.I believe that PEAK/Old World Industries has revamped their antifreeze product line where the old PEAK 10X (2-EHA free) coolant is no discontinued.
