New oil drain plug?

My oil pan drain bolt is pretty stripped on the head so I bought a new one. It is an "oil-tite" brand drain plug # 65211. My question is; has anyone used this one and did it seal well? I ask b/c it has a little purple hard plastic gasket and I am seriously doubting its ability to seal the pan at the hole.

what kind of vehicle is this for? you are sure that you didnt get one of those one time use only self tapping drain plugs right?

One picture on CSK doesn't show a gasket and another does. I didn't like the all plastic gasket for my drain plug so I got Oil-Tite 65274 washer which is steel around rubber just like the original.
