The two I just bought online have D1 labels …
How many of you worried about it have a GM ?
Buster does and I do … but he’s already used at least two boutiques in it … probably going to look like the GM 0W-40 saga for a while …

Since PDS was updated only a week ago, I expect several weeks or even months before updated formula with new label.

I dont really need dexos, but it was nice, now PAO and Dexos certification is gone, not impressed with Mobil 1

I know that prior PDS had it dexos gen3 approved, but with the revised PDS its gone. Did they drop dexos gen3 in the new formula? If its true, this is total BS!

There will likely be a lot of adjusting going on. For all brands.

Makes sense, the cheaper alternatives probably do not meet dexos. Mobil 1 Advanced Clean is on its way becoming another failed product, just like Mobil 1 Annual Protection that was discontinued

Those dots don’t even connect … One was very expensive from the beginning at 70% PAO - one just got hit by the Iran conflict …

As time progresses you may see many oil companies ,say cheapen their products due to inflation and the availability of base oils/quality, look for just barely meeting specs or elimination of some ratings. as said before ,,Stock Up Now. the cost of engine oil amoung related products are destined to rise by a fairly large margin, also due to greedy profit margins.

Another point: two easy things to spot on the SDS are PAO and GTL … not so much for the many others …

Seems a more common topic would be Pennzoil with Pearl not shining anymore …

I will order their EP jugs and get a rebate, zero reason for me to continue with this oil. I ran it for 2 oil changes, and that will be it

Valvoline Restore and Protect is more expensive and also doesn't meet Dexos, so?

Mobil 1 AC was born in tough and uncertain times but will fight for its life to the end. Just as we did in '20-'21.
