I must have fallen on my head, I find that new Mitsu SUV interesting. I'm used to Toyota build quality. Would I be crazy??????

I do no hear good things about Mitsubishi. Never really have.

Co-worker has one of their small SUVs and seems to like it though.

Mitsubishi used to be successful because they had a car for nearly every segment (Eclipse,3000GT,Mirage,Galant,Diamante,pickups,Montero,Montero Sport),then they started dropping models and not replacing them. The I-Mev is an electric joke, the Lancer is outdated (2002?)and dangerous, the Diamante is long gone as is Eclipse/3000GT,the 40 mpg Mirage went away 11 years ago...so no Mitsu gets much more than 30 mpg now.Its sad, when they were partnered with Chrysler they could do no wrong.Who could forget the Conquest/Starion,or Colt/Mirage Turbo, the Dodge D50/Mighty Max,the Raider/Montero? The Plymouth Arrow,Challenger/Sapporo? That company has been so mismanaged over the past 10+ years its amazing they are still making anything.

ASX ? They are selling well and we have had no trouble with any of them. The diesel version is not available here yet.

I have seen final gen Galants with badly oxidized paint. Granted those could be 2007 models or something, but really, there's no excuse for bad paint anymore. It should be able to look okay for a decade or more with little to no care. Other manufacturers do it.

And yes, the Galant is now gone from the lineup too, though I'm sure you will find plenty of them on dealer lots for a while.

Hyundai and Kia have blown right past them. Mitsubishi's lineup isn't even as strong as what Suzuki had when they decided to pull from the US, so I am surprised they are hanging on.

The only reason I own a Mitsubishi is because I had a few rules before buying a car, and only the model I chose met the rules.

I really had hoped that some other manufacturer met my rules.
