I'm guessing someone at Havoline hit the eggnog a little early and that the straight 30 doesn't really have TBN 78...

WHAT EVER! LOL

Castrol GTX is eggnog among dino's

Not to bring up an old thread, but does anyone have a datasheet from the old SM Havoline formula's before switching to the "deposite sheild"?

I am interested in the cSt of the 5w30.

Check out that zinc in the 10w-40/20w-50 grades. Looks like they didn't limit it to GF-4 levels like pretty much all the other oil makers have done in those 2 grades.

I wonder how much 20w-50 they actually sell? I wonder if it's really sufficient to keep it in the product line.

Lots of Harleys and BMW's out there with a seperate transmission case, that spec 20W-50. This sounds like a good oil for 2 to 3K OCI's. Plenty of viscosity for those hot afternoons on a air cooled machine.

I bought 5 cases from AAP during their sale, most of the cases are dated 9/7/06 and one is 5/5/06. These are all in the old bottle, so is it safe to assume this is the old formula? I also have 4 odd qts that are dated 11/10/06.
