No, you speak unsubstantiated garbage with no supporting facts whatsoever.

Your signature says it all M1.

Thanks to the API certification pretty much any brand of oil is going to do fine.

Oil has greatly improved.

Also engine design in the 80's was much different than todays engines.

I'm sorry. I got caught up in in for a second.

Sorry.

Comparing '80s oil to present is similar to cars, computers, TVs or about anything else, there is NO comparison...

QS and Pennzoil have long been owned by SOPUS...

Until you listen and learn you'll not be making any friends...

And you avoided my questions. I also bet I used more QS in the 1980s and in more vehicles than your dad did, and with no sludge or varnish, either. And, has already been pointed out, Quaker State has changed ownership twice since then, and been reformulated many, many times.

Maybe once you will talk like a normal person and address some of the comments that were made to you, rather than continuing to post nonsense.

I think "Bigdaddy345" just got busted.

I don't think that's even close to the real truth ...

And just to throw a bit more fuel on the fire (

), there's this:

3. 5W20 Quaker State Ultimate Durability, API SN, GM dexos 1 approved, synthetic (gold bottle) = 121,396 psi
zinc = TBD
phos = TBD
moly = TBD
This oil was tested Fall 2015, and it produced the highest psi value seen in my testing from any oil just as it comes right out of the bottle with no aftermarket additives.

From 540 RAT's Blog

Yes, that's throwing it on the fire, once again.

The thing that caught my attention was that this oil has now surpassed Motul Ester for the top spot on his Blog. Whether or not his methods are valid for all, the mere fact that it now surpasses Motul in ANY test is saying slot for the quality of the oil as far as a lubricant for some situations

It was recently bested by Mobil 1 FS 0w-40.

Here, PP and QSUD tend to be the identical price on the identical shelf (assuming one isn't on rollback and the other not). Generally speaking, their functionally interchangeable anyhow.
