So I was using the Australian based Mobil oil guide, and searching for Ford Mustang 5.0L V8, 2015 to 2018

From the Australian 2016 Ford Mustang owner's manual ... specs for the 5.0L V8 GT shown below. Oil spec is 5W-30 (Ford WSS-M2C913-D) ... no CAFE push. I highly doubt the Oz Mustang GT engine is any different than the US GT engine.
