New drivers front brake hose install

Any way I can install a new brake hose without making a big mess? Just bleed the brakes and discovered bad front drivers hose. Only leaks when pedal is pressed. Easy job without being full of brake fluid - car is a 87 Accord, no abs. Good access. Lines and all other hoses are good. Just don't want to do a total 4
wheel bleed again and hope to avoid a mess. Quick removal and change out after bleeding front drivers?

Make sure the reservoir stays full and seal it as well as possible (Stretch a rubber glove over the top and put the cap on to hold it there). You'll have minimal fluid loss and should just need to bleed that one corner when done. If you let it run dry though you're looking at a 4 wheel bleed.

You should be okay just removing the hose, letting it all leak out, replacing the hose, filling the master cylinder, then bleeding the one line that you replaced. Maybe you could shove a toothpick, skewer, chopstick into the hard line after you remove the hose. Start spraying it with penetrating oil early.

I have done this exact job on the exact same car many years ago.
Prepare yourself with caps to block off the fluid coming out of the reservoir and you'll be fine.
A quick & easy bleed after the hoses are replaced.

Bite the bullet and do all 4, the car is over 30 years old and one is leaking so this is a real safety concern. Next time you may not get a warning like this one, it could fail when you need it most.

If the fluid has never been serviced, this is a great time to do it. Otherwise, as others have said, seal the cap and plug the line. There should be minimal loss if you are careful.

I agree.
When ever there is a Left and Right part. I always try to do both.
Sounds like an easy job. When your done, you'll be glad you did both.
As Trav said, at 30 years old, do the backs also.
