People are free to say whatever they like, but what matters is what is in the legislation. And legislation was introduced with gun bans in it.

And just because a data base is not currently allowed or offered, doesn't mean that these things can't be amended later, expanding the Overton window a little at a time.

Wayne LaPierre of the NRA. Wayne La Pierre now that is not a name for a gun lobbist how about instead Clutch Disk?? Chuck Steak?? . Well this Ying Yang took what was said as a universal background check turned it into a national registry. The sheep heard what the wanted from Chuck Steak and believed it. That is why so many were surprised on 11/06.As was said they are fleeced and lied to every day. WC Fieds covers this.

What, no DNA sample? (Maybe I shouldn't give them ideas)

They've already got that from your infant heel [censored] tests (the ones that were to check for dangerous childhood diseases, and they kept "just in case" they had to screen you for some other condition down the way" (that's Oz's reason for keeping them all filed and intact, YMMV).

You won't need to submit your DNA when they legislate for it, they've got it already.

As to national background checks, and registration, I'll bet that when you are background checked, your name is never removed from the list of people who bought guns.

Feel free to look it up.

So, apparently you are just completely naive and clueless.

Here's a newsflash for you: Murdering criminals don't care about laws or background checks. They don't have to submit to a background check when they steal guns, or buy stolen guns. They have no qualms about killing random innocent people, which is also against the law.

Adam Lanza was prevented from buying a gun by existing laws. But that didn't stop him, he stole his Mother's guns, before using them to kill her. Then he stole her car, and went on his murderous rampage at a School which was a "gun free zone".

The fact that it was a "gun free zone", I'm sure made it an even more appealing target for that deranged, cowardly lunatic. Because it meant no one would potentially be armed, and he would be unopposed.

The only people these 'gun control' laws really affect, are law-abiding citizens that will then be at the mercy of criminals that don't follow any laws.

^^truth^^

If I were a shoplifter would I go to a store with a video system, or one without? If I were a rapist would I go to a home where I knew the woman had a gun?

CT resident here.... All these new laws are complete and udder B.S.
I wrote letters and called the governor and both of my senators several times, I was polite and courteous when voicing my opposition to the new laws. All of them tersely disagreed with me and hung up on me.

Screw this liberal pansy but state.
I will be moving out of this state faster than Mr. Bojangles on speed when my elderly parents (who I take care of now, only reason I am still here) pass away.

We have a wee bit of fact to deal with. 3500 people have been killed since 12/14. How come? You know what with guns. No I am not naive just knowing. I am sorry you did not know that fact because you did not mention it in your thread. How come NYC murder rate is the lowest or among the lowest in the country???Now that my lad not knowing makes you a wee bit clueless. How come NYC with the loads of wackos and low murder rate with guns????Bloomberg won. By the way some States copied him and are banning drinks less than 20 oz. I wonder where those States are??

Well it dam sure isn't going to be to New York! I am thinking of the northern North Carolina area. I lived in NC for 5 years when I was in the army, I liked it a lot better than than this New England P.O.S. I live in now. The people are rude, The weather sucks, everything is crazy expensive, all of this is not to mention the socialism loving, money blowing, anti-self defense Libtards who repeatedly get voted in year after year. Yuck!

I do not fit in here at all!

Otto,

You keep citing the 3,500 or so deaths since 12/14.

How many people die in the US every day?

About 6200/day give or take or about 188K/month.

Let's see, 17 days give or take remaining in Dec, 31 in January, 28 in February, 31 in March and let's just count 3 days so far in April as we've probably not toted up the deaths yet today.

So that's 110 days if I've done the math in my head correctly. Let's just make it 100 to make the numbers easier for me to do in my head.

During that time, 620,000 people have died in the US. Of those, approximately 0.5% of them died as the result of a firearm. Probably less since I did some beneficial to your view approximations.)

While it's sad for all those who have lost their lives, there are many killers out there and firearms hardly register on the radar relative to other causes.

So while I mourn the loss of almost anyone, I don't see this less than 0.5% as a national disaster.

After all, if we were really concerned about safety, why haven't we done something about the 11,500 killed in auto accidents during the same time period as your 3,500 gun shot victims?

After all, you and I are 4x more likely to be killed in a car than by a gun.

So if you are driving, or live anywhere near a car, your fear of gun violence is irrational!
