New Camaro?

It looks like a Ricer. interesting though . I will wait to post a real opinion when I see one in person. I don't like the sound or feel of a flat plane engine. They lack the power pulse that I like in a " Twisted? crankshaft.

GM making things that rock the exclusivity of the automotive performance world gives me warm and fuzzies. It is America doing what it does best.

It's a digital rendering that blended the Camaro and Corvette and has nothing to do with GM.

From the link:

But one virtual artist has taken the unofficial “hate” to a whole new level. Rostislav Prokop, the virtual artist better known as rostislav_prokop on social media, has digitally blended the middle half of Chevy’s 2023 Corvette Z06 with front and rear bits and pieces taken from various current Camaros, like the SS and ZL1. Now, this new mid-engined ‘Maro looks like a “hungry” beast that swallowed a Z06 whole.

Naturally, there’s a very sensible explanation for all the “horror.” His (let’s face it) rather dark vision for a more successful sixth-generation Camaro simply has the pony/muscle car built on the same widebody platform as Chevy’s Corvette Z06 sports car. Of course, that is only viable in the virtual world. And what do you know, many of his fans even reckon it now looks better than the source material.

The C8 has grown on me and the coming z06 makes my manly bits tingle like the GT350 voodoo did.

While the basic trim corvettes are very white-socks-with-sandals, the upper trim versions (with wheels that don’t look like they come off a mid 2000’s Toyota) are quite nice. I’d argue that the mid-engine C8 corvette is living up to its legacy as a middle finger to European and Italian exclusivity.

However, any sports car that isn’t a convertible is pretty pointless on the street. 😎

All they should do with the camaro is increase the visibility out of the cabin and keep selling it with a V8 6MT.
They don't even need to do that. The visibility thing can be gotten used to. Just keep selling it with the V-8 and MT6...

I wonder if they are going to put the "truck" 2.7L turbo in the Camaro (like Cadillac), and drop the old 2L 4 cyl turbo.
IMO, they should drop the 4 popper and turbo the V-6...that would increase performance to near, or equal that of the V-8...

I've done several "build & price" in the last month, and found too much of a jump from the 3.6L LGX to the base 6.2L V8.
A basic 5.3L with a 6L90E, electric locker, 4.10s and sunroof would make a good bracket car that should run 13s with tires.

The 3.6L LFX has turbo's in the Cadillac. I don't think the LGX has been factory turbo'd yet.
The old school 350 sbc had 300hp, the stock 3.6L LGX, 335hp in the Camaro and more with a cat-back and tune.
