Hi Frank,
I did the original 1500 mile clean and 2000 mile rinse starting about 13 months ago and ending in mid-December '06. Have done one 3000 mile MC Synth Blend OCI and am about to finish a planned 4000 mile OCI using Pennzoil Platinum Synth. It looks like I should do a further 3000 mile cleaning using a non-Synthetic. I have some Exxon Super-Flo 5w-20 that I will be using with a MC FL820s filter from the stash.
Does this sound OK and have you been able to quantify how much additional cleaning an engine can achieve with the new instructions?
The engine is a pretty clean '01 Duratech V6 with about 72,000 miles running 5w-20 oil dino or semi-synth for 3000 mile OCI's, except this last one. Thanks.
