But certainly not in the range of the crazy priced Euro oils, etc.

And a real bargain at the $7.71 PC price.

Doesn't that make it a 30 weight?
According to the SAE J300 spec 20 weights are 9.3 cSt and lower.

I have already asked. It may be 9.0....will know later.

But I agree with everyones opinon about the bottle, very cool...I could see myself buying it just to have the bottles

I think some folks go looking for a 15W vs. 20W. The RD50 has better start-up flow.

Yes, but they have a lower Tbn of 8. Not a super long drain oil. Aimed at the racing crowd for those with flat tappet cams. Higher levels of ZDP.

Pablo, that's a nice website. It's simple with the necessary information easily findable and no junk that gets in the way of seeing your products.

Will they give out the moly, boron, antimony PAO to POE ratios???

Also, NO mention if it is a pure 'race oil' with NO street detergent package, or whether or not it can handle long street OCIs.
A TBN of 8 is decent, but it does not tell us much without some of the above info.
Otherwise it does look to be a stout product, but it WILL cost me more than Red Line even with preferred customer status ($hipping!!).

The viscosity at 100 C is 9.2 cSt, or SAE20.

I presume there will be a press release that answers some of those questions.

APPLICATIONS
AMSOIL Dominator Synthetic 10w30 Racing Oil is recommended for high-rpm, high-horsepower, turbo/supercharged, gasoline- or alcohol-burning and nitrous oxide gas-injected applications operated under severe conditions.

Applications include, but are not limited to, the following:
... Other domestic and import high-performance racing and street applications requiring 30-weight oil.

With the rising price of fuel, and the expected lowering popularity of motorsports, is this really the most sensible use of Amsoil's formulating abilities?

Seems like they've come to the party a bit late...but I don't doubt they are top-notch products.

Not trying to be critical, but the timing just seems 'off' for these products.....

I think the demand is certainly there for weekend warriors and those with flat tappet cam engines. Time will tell I guess.

that's true, how shear stabile is this oil Pabs???

It has a High-Temperature/High-Shear Viscosity,
150ºC, 1.4x106s-1, cP (ASTM D-5481) of 5.4

but more importantly under:

Kurt Orbahn (ASTM D-6278),
% viscosity change 90 cycles it's 6.3 %

I must admit, buster knows as much as me. I've been distracted since about February and he has been hounding Amsoil big time about this oil. My guess it's pretty high esters and borate esters.....but even a simple VOA will be interesting to me.
