Despite my best efforts for a Friday pickup, banks were closed and I was greeted Saturday morning to my daughter asking when are we picking up the new car.

Picked up a 2026 Dodge Durango Hellcat from a local (40 min drive) dealer on Saturday with my daughter who loves cars. I had an order for a 392 Durango placed, but was having some regrets not going for the HC.

Definitely regret absolutely nothing other than not doing it sooner.

Looks great, a new Durango with the 5.7L Hemi and Tow-n-go package, is probably gonna be on the short list for my next vehicle. The logical part of my brain I don't think could justify the 392 or Hellcat.

I traded my 2025 RT TnG. Fantastic car and arguably the perfect platform for the durango. The new 392 is actually the same price as the 25 RT and the Hellcats are around the same price as the 2023 SRT 392.

I saw they dropped the prices and that makes the 392 very tempting. But I don’t think I wanna pay the premium in running costs that the 392 and Hellcat would require over the 5.7L. I think the 5.7L with TnG is an excellent middle ground.

Nope, they just kind of quit advertising them for a bit as the previous CEO tried axing all the v8's.
Thankfully that reprehensible demented scum is gone. Wish he'd've never tried to kill Chrysler in the first place. I rag on them but with the right management to work on fixing problems and focus on their edge in the car market they'd be great again and I'd probably buy one of their trucks with the 5.7 and 6.4 over a new gm or ford.
