Storm already passed us. 6.5hp Toro Single Stage running Castrol air cooled snowmobile oil took care of the 10~12 inches no problem.

Let me guess JHZR2..

Your driveway is 300ft long, triple-wide and up-hill both ways too?

1986 LLawnboy (Gilson)with 8 HP Tecumseh and I use Rotella T-6. This blower has HUNDREDS of hard hours on it as up to 2010, I did an entire cul de sac curb to curb and four driveways. Started on the second rope pull this year. I do use MMO in the gas, run Shell 93 octane and always dope the gas with Stabil, run the thing until it runs out of gas when I put it away for the summer months and then put storage fogging oil in the cylider.

No but it is about 75-80 ft long with a wide section at the end by the garage. Plus the sidewalk.

Does not bother us. Its an opportunity.

Few inches of snow sure. Not with the amount we are supposed to get.

Anyway, Craftsman 26" with the 208cc Chonda OHV. Current fill is 2 year old Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w30. 2 years old because it didn't get used last year. At all.

I was on a quest to find a large, heavy-duty steel shovel a few years ago. Wound up mail ordering one for (gasp) about $40, but it is worth every penny.

Our driveway is a curved, ~120 footer, with a side area for additional parking. Depending on the snow-load, my time and attitude, I'll shovel the whole thing with the 30", $40 special:

Oh.. and my ~13yr/old Yard Man 7hp OHV Tecumseh /24" has Napa synthetic 5w30 in it IIRC. I change it every few years.

I commend and agree with your philosophy. I shoveled mine for years til the wife got sick of the time consumed. Mine takes 2 hrs with the snowblower.
