I hear you on the "detergent-based formula" but it says not to load the transmission and or drive with the additive in and then to perform a full fluid flush to get the additive out. That to me would sugguest a strong additive that can be dangerous to trans.
That said I'm on day 3 with Auto-RX in the trans and I'm noticing a difference already. Shift quality is much smoother and the downshifts are now not noticable.
The fluid is already turning colours so it is releasing some gunk in the transmission that I think was there from before I started using Amsoil, and also as an accumulation of all the miles I have on the unit.
Could also be the stuff stuck in the rad cooler and auxiliary cooler...
Interesting observations already and I'm going to be adding a Magenfine today to the mix to filter out loosened debris.
