Need some help with a 4WD question

If there's a center diff present, you can drive in 4x4 on any surface, if not, keep it for when it's slippery, or just in a straight line.
This is a standard part-time 4x4 system without a center diff. It has an electronic locking r. diff.

Not sure what a center diff is and how that would affect driving. Can you help me out? Thanks.
You don't have one. Follow the guidance here for a standard part-time 4x4 system...use as needed. Don't drive all over town on dry roads with it in 4x4 high. Use 4x4 low only for when you need the most traction (it gears it down v. low). You can get up your driveway using the 4wd in your truck without concern.

Then I don't understand the question. if it's on-demand AWD, it'll kick in when needed, and not when it's not.
He has a part time 4x4 truck. He wants to know if he can use 4x4 to get up his driveway. It's not awd hence his question. The answer is yes. The responses in this post are further confusing this guy....he's been BITOG'd.

My answer was spot on.
