Not a particularly useful comment. Brand A from china might work great on fords and lousy on chevies and vice versa. If you have a specific "white box" that failed you directly let's hear about it.

I've had excellent results with Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors (their premium rotor). I use them with Raybestos Advanced Technology pads on my SUV - excellent all around performance and almost dust free. I also bleed my brakes every 2-3 yrs (DOT4).

The shipping usually makes something heavy like brake rotor a bad deal to buy online, unless you are buying a lot of other stuff as well.

My own rotors are cheap Chinese.
They weight a full POUND more than the expensive ones available.

I like Raybestos A/T rotors
but they are pricey, and some applications have more use for them then others.
I also like the cheapest POS rotors I can find, cause really, I rarely have any problems with them. Believe me, I tested out those 16 dollar chinese rotors VERY hard with many 130-0mph stops on PFC pads with excellent results.....

I have seen some pinholes in their rotor surfaces, and who's to say whats underneath that
Wagner Thermoqueits are good pads
I'd use the Wagner's, Raybestos Advance Tech, or the PFC from autozone if you want greater performance as far as pads go. The wagner's do perform great, but I have noticed lately they seem to be looking cheaper, like their quality control on aesthetics has dropped. Meanwhile the Raybestos are amazing looking and very detailed.
of course, if you don't want to spend money, just get the cheapest stuff you can find and atleast you have new brake pads on the car.

When it came time to buy new rotors for my Corvette I checked around up here and found everyone wanted at least $100 per rotor. I searched on E-bay and found a vendor right here in Toronto that sold all four, including brake pads too, for $150! Shipping was another $60, but that still saved me a bundle!! When the parts arrived they looked like very good quality to me, but just to be sure they didn't rust on me I sprayed all the rotors completely with high temperature clear coat. I got those rotors installed last week and there is not a spot of rust on them at all even after going through a few rain storms. With my previous rotors, which were Wagners and claimed to be coated to prevent rust, they rusted badly within 24 hours of putting them on! The fins and the hats just looked so horrible, I was embarressed every time someone saw my brakes.
My mom's 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee had rotors that warped just weeks after the car was built.
I put new Raybestos rotors on her car and there is no warping.
For some reason the good Raybestos rotors came from China, and the garbage MOPAR rotors came from Canada.
Anyway, someone asked what would have to be done to remove the protective finish on Raybestos rotors. Every one I ever used required a quick spray of brake cleaner.

Bought my most recent rotors from Napa (always buy from Napa) but these recent ones are made in Canada... They're working fantastic so far.
