I've always liked McMaster-Carr. They found their nitch and do a good job at it (for those not familiar, they're sort of a hardware store for industry). They got on the internet bandwagon early and do a good job at it. One time I ordered some stuff from their web site in the morning and recieved it the same afternoon, that's service! They offer other good informational tid-bits in their catalog (stainless steel types, pipe thread sizing, tubing info, etc.). I didn't know they offered the info on the internet, but it makes sense, I bet it's part of their business strategy.
