I was screwing a 1515 on a 302 the other day and saw the label said "Mann+Hummel" instead of the usual Affinia. I know Mann has at least as good a name as Wix, which I'm seeing more than satisfactory results with in everything I use it on - any input on the difference/pros & cons? Just curious.

Mann has not made changes to any Wix filters. The Mann+Hummel label simply showss that they are now the parent company of Wix, nothing else.

Mann owns enough voting stock in Wix to control management and operation by doing and influencing or electing its board of directors. Wix is nothing more than a "brand name" now. The only hope is they would be sold or spun off from Mann to be independent again.

Vern_in_IL - when Mann was acquiring Affinia, I remember reading a press release that stated Mann-Hummel was interested in Wix’s large distribution network. So, if they can separate manufacturing from distribution, they could spin off a factory without distribution. Interesting!!!
