I understand everyone has a brand preference, and they believe the product they are using is the "best", and that's great, we are free to choose what we like and want, but before things get heated and really ugly let's remember that everyone is different, and what they think is "best" might not be what YOU think is "best". It all depends on what you are looking for. Do you like the deep, rich look that waxes provide? Or do you like the super shiney look that synthetic sealants usually provide? Or are you interested in durability and protection?
That's why it is hard to define the "best" product. It boils down to what are YOU looking for in a product.
Having said all that, I admit I'm a fan of Zaino and Duragloss, here's why. Before trying Zaino and Duragloss, I tried Mothers Reflections, Mothers Synwax, Meguiars NXT, Blackfire, Menzerna FMJ, and others.
Zddp77-you are right, Reflections looks really, really good, and I was happy with it when it was on our SUV and truck. I used the Meguiars NXT on our Kubota tractor and it looked amazing! What caused me to try to find a product that lasted longer was my unhappiness with the fact that after a few weeks of use in the summer sun when I went to wash the tractor, the NXT was dead. I felt it wasn't protecting the paint the way I was hoping for.
Enter in the Zaino and Duragloss, while they look different from the previously mentioned products, from my personal experience and testing, their durability and protection are the best I've used. Last year, in the spring I washed our Kubota's with the Duragloss soap, then applied their Marine and RV detailer spray. I did it again a few weeks later, but then I left it alone to see how long it would last. We used the tractors a lot, mowing, plowing, harvesting hay. Last fall, I checked to see how the Duragloss was holding up, I was fully expecting it to be long gone. See, when the tractors are covered in dust, it is hard to see if the product is still there, but when you go to wash it, you know. Imagine my surprise when I ran the wash mitt over the tractoe, the grime slide off easily, and when it was dried, the shine was still there. I would have been happy to still have the product protecting the paint, since I'm trying to keep the paint from fading and oxidizing, to see the shine still was an extra bonus.
Last fall, on my brother's Honda Civic I applied Zaino, knowing we were heading into winter. Because he drives it so much, I only had time to apply ZAIO and ONE coat of Z2PRO. I thought it would be a good test. After driving it all winter, with the snow, salt, and other winter nastiness, I washed for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The Zaino was still THERE! I was amazed, after it was washed and dried, I ran my fingers across the paint on the fender. I was impressed with how smooth it still was, that and the fact I still could see the optics created by the Zaino. I know that certain parts of the car take more of a beating than others, but overall, I was very pleased on how well it held up.
That's why I use Zaino and Duragloss products, their durability and protection are very good. If some other new products come along, I'm willing to give them a try, and if they outperform what I'm using now, I'm willing to switch.
What I'm trying to say is that nothing else that I've tried so far has come close.
Long story short, use what makes YOU happy. No need to bash someone else who likes a different product.
