I've been using Zaino AIO along with CS with excellent results but recently decided to try Z2. I applied ZAIO first and then a coat of Z2, but after I was finished I was looking at the Zaino web site and saw that with Z2 it is recommended that you use ZFX with it, especially for the initial coat as it provides better bonding and enhanced durability.
Since durability is my main concern I'm now wondering how much of a differnce ZFX will really make. How durable is Z2 without the use of ZFX?

Ive been using Z2P for about 3 years exclusivly. For the first year i used it with ZFX, then i started using Z2P without it. I believe it does make the Z2P better, also able to add another coat without the wait, but all in all with weekly washes and a squirt of Z8 after, my paint beads like crazy for months and months until i end up polishing out marring and re applying.

Comparing one-for-one (1 application of Z2+ZFX to 1 application with Z2 alone), I think durability will be hard to differentiate.

Where ZFX comes into play is when you apply multiple coats in one session. ZFX allows for a rapid crosslinking of the sealant, so the next coat does not remove the previous one. You can apply three coats in one ZFX-enabled session.

For just one coat, or waiting 12 hours between coats (like it was in the pre-ZFX days), there isn't much difference IMO.
