My visit to Chik Fil A

I avoid drive-thru at almost any cost, hate eating in the car
I definitely don't like being "processed" for food, especially if you want specific condiments
Prices are generally at least borderline outrageous and the paper waste is ridiculous.
I don't drink soda and at a minimum the unsweetened ice tea is mediocre
A good dinner with daily specials is, for us, money better spent
I believe that Joe Pechi's comment on drive-thru in Lethal Weapon was spot-on
That being a given, I've occasionally eaten at a Chick-fil-A, not terrible but don't understand the passion
We usually eat out on Sunday afternoon, so that takes them out of the equation.
OK, I'm done. BTY, our local Taco Bell/KFC was shut down by the health department in January, sign still says "Temporarily closed for maintenance"

We all know it's crud.
Sometimes you just gotta get something in to stay vertical.
I never seek that **** out.
Once a year and I remember it vividly.
The memory is never positive.
McDonalds is efficient if nothing else.
I think it's the sugar buns that leave us feeling so crappy.
And the salt.
Well, all of it:sick:

I agree BUT we didn't eat in the car. Strictly verboten!

EDIT: I recommend Taco Bell if you are on your 3-4th day of constipation. Butt you will need to replace your septic, or if on sewer, bill is going up.

I'm a fan of their chicken noodle soup, and their western salad with the pepitas, avocado dressing, and tortilla strips. the spicy chicken is OK. CFA's secret weapon is frying in peanut oil, that's why all the fried chicken is tasty! If you use the app, you can earn a free sandwich once in a while-and there's fringe benefits to being the Ice Dream machine repairman!

Last Wednesday evening had Ivar’s halibut fish and chips near the UW Seattle campus. It was very good, but it is very hard to get quality quick serve anything, especially fresh battered fish.

You mentioned in Bellingham the outstanding fish and chips. Concluded you have some quality food choices in Bellingham.
I used to like going there when I lived in Everett

Chick-Fil-a and Culvers are about the only 2 fast food places that you are almost always guaranteed to get good service.
They have been putting culvers in here and I have been to a few, service was completely awful in every one - and its counter service so how do you screw that up? Can never get the order right to save there life, feel like your interupting there day, etc. Dirty stores. Ick.

Cod sandwich was the only endearing quality IMHO.

There is a Freddies here now. Its pretty good during the week, but gets dirty on the weekend. We go maybe once a month or so.

It's amazing how everyone has such a different experience, I've very rarely if ever had an issue at a Culvers but Freddies here just sucks.
I ordered a single hamburger meal at Freddies one time, everything was good except there was no meat in the hamburger (where's the BEEF)
All in how they are managed.

Junk food for the masses and Chick-fil-a somehow has the formula perfected. I think Americans forgot what real food is supposed to taste like. People’s brains are chemically hooked on this garbage.
Nothing magical about the corporate concoction of manufactured food to bring you in.

Might as start smoking cigarettes if you think this stuff is healthy.

You eat as much junk as anyone i know and call it all good because I earned it.

Here in Florida I always see the drive thru lines at Chick Fil A jam packed.

The food quality is OK.

I still need to try their Mac & Cheese.

I mean look at what @Patman eats.

For the wife, it was a "thing". Our first CFA in town. We went as a pack, 2 dogs, 2 humans. Park picnic.

Here's a thing. I nearly froze on what to order and the line was moving FAST. Roll up to the girl with the order pad, if you aren't looking at your phone how do even know what they offer as she is before the sign!? That's a problem. My cortisol is rising, I can feel it. My BG had just fallen off the shower cliff, but I look back at the time stamp and there was a little bump in line. This junk will kill you! Should I just bag it and get the sammich and deal with 180-220 mg/dL for a couple hours. NO!!! So crap, order the grilled bits and salad........but throw the 7 piece fried nuggets in too (they WERE tasty, but tiny). I mean my eyes were probably bugged out. I scared the poor pretty girl. No wonder we didn't our kale salads and she didn't ask what sauce and condiments we wanted.

The whole process was doomed. I blame our dogs. Just kidding. They were excellent.

No, its not close to "quality" people think it is because of their holier than others corporate policies. (closed Sundays as an example)
It's all just junk food and, respectfully because I know you so you can understand.

Everyone blames big Pharma, doctors and the medical establishment for everything wrong in the system. When it's the people that feed them. 70% of the population overweight AND DEPEND ON THE latest drug to keep them alive. No sense is taking responsibility for themselves. Worst they subject their children to this cancer causing, hormone disrupting effects on kids bodies, young children hit puberty YEARS sooner child obesity gone crazy. Yet we blame the medical industry for our fat and lazy habits.
