That reminds me of my old dream to put a camera on a kite. My SLR held me back at the time, but now I can tie a digicam to a kite, and set it to record video.

the google earth output is what i find truly amazing. yesterday, when i put it into the calculator, i had to launch 4.5 hrs drive west, inland, to make sure it gets to with 50km of my house. this is with a 18 km ceiling. you can see how the differing winds at different levels affect the path. amazing stuff!

Yeah and you don't need government approval/military clearance to use it LOL. That's way cool that you are getting to utilize the technology. In the old days it was launch and hunt.
