Funny thing is ...she had left FOX ...and then came right back into the clutches of the evil Billy O.

Maybe she liked the abuse ...

Well-even though I'm very conservative..I don't care for O'Reiley. He has a way too big ego and he thinks he is better than he is. In his interview with Moore he claimed he beat up Moore - when the reverse was true-Moore kicked his azz. I think this will do him in and that's O.K. with me.

But come on. This continuous litigation bc of something like this is bs.

And how has all of this hurt this gal's career ??? Buy her a set of ear plugs and get her a telephone which filters out politically incorrect stuff. Hmmm..I'm gonna' work on that one.

Regardless of this woman's motives (she's bent to the left against Dubya), O'Reilly should have acted more maturely instead of like Howard Stern.

If he had said these things to my daughter while she was in his employ, I would have kicked his arse, I don't care how big or tough he claims to be.

I've enjoyed O'Rielly and his show on TV as well as his radio stuff. From what little I know about the issue my guess would be that both sides have some truth in what they say. My biggest concern would lie with the ability that a female has to possibly ruin a man's career for something as benign as words. Yes, he may have said some very rude things to this girl but from some of her actions, after the fact, she didn't seem to really be "traumatized". We all know that being a conservative paints a target square in the middle of your chest, right? With that said I think that O'Rielly may have really used poor judgement in his alleged conversations with this employee. I can speak from experience on this matter. While employed at a major aerospace company, I was accused of some very serious things. The accuser was a female (strike one), and a lesbian (strike two). Even though I was guilty of nothing more than being conservative minded (and having rather strong opinions), I was walked out of the building. Come to find out, the main reason they considered me a "risk" was that I'd used the word "ballistic"(strike three) in a conversation about how concerned I was that I was being accused of anything. I guess they, (management and security), interpreted that by saying "ballistic", I was going to use a firearm to shoot somebody. Anyway, I was eventually found guilty of nothing. But my point is this.... we must all be very careful not to use the system in a way to settle grudges and/or arguements. My hunch is that this issue that O'Rielly has trouble with, is nothing more than a grudge match, blown way out of proportion because of the celebrity, wealth and conservative views of a strongly opinionated and loud mouthed man, versus a female that knows how to use the system (and slimey lawyers) to her possible advantage.

Basils, I've worked in large corporations as you may have. They go to great pains and expense to explain to employees what is unacceptable chatter.

If you have read this young lady's complaint, which details O'Reilly's conversations, you would have to ask if Mr. O'Reilly intends to plead insanity?

Groucho,
You may not understand this, so let me advise you. We have a double standard in our large companies when it comes to employee rights. If you are a lesbian, gay, minority, mentally challenged, physically challenged, transvestite, transgendered, muslim, pregnant, grossly over weight, attractive and large breasted female, sleep around (female), feminist or atheist, you have special rights and considerations. If you are an average white male.... your screwed!

The world's never been fair, these days the pendulum has swung far in the direction that men in general have to be careful.
I know first hand. My wife and I had an argument and I got arrested, even though I had my own blood on my clothes from being smacked with a coffee mug. She told the cops, and later the court that it was her fault as much as mine, but the women's groups poo-poo'd the idea that a woman could possibly be at fault, even though she said so.
What I find as bad or worse is the situation of a new guy in my lovely court-required sessions. He was arrested and sent to jail, and now domestic violence class for the crime of physically preventing his cousin from getting inro a car and driving away while drunk. If his story is true, it illustrates something pretty wrong with the system around here.
One more thing: my DV counselor was highly offended and angry when he received letters of support and opinions about me and stuff from 2 other counselors I see on my own, who are also pastors at 2 local churches.
He informed me that he was not concerned with marriage in the least and that he could care less about anyone's opinion because the only people who understand domestic violence are the counselors; not the clergy, not the court, not the people involved.
I found it interesting to be the focus of anger from someone who has lectured me on anger management.
