I received this letter in the mail today. It says it’s coming from Belgium, but postmark Birmingham, Alabama. Do people really fall for this?

Scammers rake in millions of dollars a year. I tend imagine some small group of people sending out these letters or emails but in reality, it's run like a formal business from what I've seen online.

There are YouTuber's who dedicate their channels to trolling these people. The ones involving scammers out of India are particularly funny.

ask them to send you a photo holding a large whole fish in one hand, and balancing a loaf of bread on the top of their head. if they do, its legit.
