These are like, the two biggest repair bills ever.

True that new system is pretty much a sunken cost when selling a house, but it can make the house more appealing to potential buyers and get it sold faster maybe.
 
My 10 year American Standard AC system warranty will transfer to a new owner for $59 should I decide to sell.

Thats a pretty good thing for a buyer.
 
I had a Payne central air installed in 1998. Don't know the size, but the house is 1512 sq ft. It gets used only when absolutely necessary. From May 1 to September 30, it was used 20 days in 2015, 36 days in 2016 and 13 days so far in 2017. It has needed only one repair about 10 years ago due to a refrigerant leak. I have done nothing to it except cover the unit during the winter. Am I just lucky?
