A good friend of mine was robbed at the local gas station yesterday. The experience was so bad that she could hardly dial 911 to get the police as her hands were shaking so badly. When the police finally arrived, they saw the shape she was in, realized her pulse rate was sky high and called an ambulance. She said later the police were very kind to her.

Once she settled down and the EMTs had her pulse and blood pressure under control, the police asked, "Could you identify the thief?"

She said , "Yes, it was pump #11."

Dang, you got me hook, line, and sinker. I didn't catch that this was posted in humor. I was preparing a reply about how personal these things are. Maybe that still applies?

Good one. Thanks for getting my blood pumping this morning. Everyone have a good Friday and weekend. Count your blessings.

Me too! I was feeling very sorry for this woman. Thanks for the laugh!

Here is the traded price ( not pump price) from the last 10 years. Mods, I did a screen shot to quickly show the historical price.

That Canadain gas pricing, correct? USA is far different.
That appears to be the US pricing, and Canada trends about the same, just with some higher taxes added. We buy ~10% of our gasoline refined in the US. If the bulk price was much less in the US, we'd buy more I guess.

It is interesting that public charging is usually around the same per mile as $4/gal gas in a 30mpg car.
For sure, but it's actually about the same price as my home electricity rates (even sometimes CHEAPER) plus a car that goes 0-60 in 4.9 seconds won't get 30mpg. I mean the cloest thing off the top of my head is the Mustang EcoBoost but it gets less than 30MPG if you drive it anywhere near what it takes to accelerate quickly. Plus our gas prices are $5+ and that Mustang would take premium which is like $6/gallon.

Yes, but the cost of everything else, (most notably, food) was cheaper.
Besides, most folks don't remember 2022 gas prices, let alone what they had for dinner last night.
🤷‍♂️
And, for those folks, the joke might be funny.
